Navy Arrests 13 Oil Suspected Thieves, Intercepts Vessel In Bayelsa

oil-thieves
The Nigerian Navy, Central Naval Command, Bayelsa State, has arrested 13 suspected oil thieves and intercepted vessel laden with stolen crude oil.
The suspects and the illegal vessel, christened MT REDEMPTION, were intercepted at Middleton and Peddington area of Brass, Bayelsa State, off the Atlantic Ocean.
The suspects were paraded before journalists at the command’s Forward Operating Base (FOB Formoso) at Egwema, Brass, Bayelsa State, on Wednesday.
The suspects and the vessel with its content, were subsequently handed over to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for further investigation and prosecution.
Narrating how the suspects were arrested, the Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Stanley Ogoigbe, said the gigantic oil vessel and 11 suspected oil thieves were arrested on January 20, 2015.
The FOC said the vessel, MT REDEMPTION, was intercepted by his men on patrol and upon interrogation, it was revealed that the vessel had no cogent reasons to be around the area she was found.
Ogoigbe said, “When the patrol team searched the vessel, it was discovered that some tanks including drums kept on the main deck were laden with products suspected to be crude oil approximately 100,000 litres.
“The captain of the vessel claimed that the contents of the tanks and drums were bitumen but were confirmed to be crude oil after the product was taken to Nigeria Agip Oil Company for laboratory test.
“The crew of MT REDEMPTION could neither disclose the source of the product nor present any valid documents authorising the vessel to lift crude oil.
“Preliminary investigation by his operatives revealed that MT REDEMPTION was owned by one Alhaji Omar Suleiman, who is the owner of Omar Oil Agency Ltd at Tema, Ghana, while the agents of the company in Nigeria are Mr. Niyi Akimosho and Mr. Addisson a Ghanaian, who allegedly assist the owner in recruiting crew members”.
According to Ogoigbe, members of the crew were the captain, Chief Engineer and 11 others.
He assured Nigerians that the Central Naval Command under his watch would bring oil theft to zero level in the area of their responsibility.

Oops "6 Ways Drake’s Mixtape Did Right And Killed Every February Sales Record

Drake Performs At The O2 Arena
A few weeks ago, Drake was making relatively quiet news with his support of a Canadian battle rap event. Since then, the Toronto emcee has quickly and literally taken over the Billboard charts with a surprise album release that has churned out nearly as many sales records as it has hits.
In the span of a couple weeks, Drake has proven that he can make a bigger splash with a surprise drop than most rappers can with months of lead-up. Here are six ways If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has owned February and broken all sorts of records in the process.
1. Drake Has The Most Songs On The Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart Ever
Billboard’s Hot R&B & Hip Hop Songs chart is a 50-track tally of the genres’ most popular tracks. Drake currently has 21 songs on the list. That’s right, Drake is in control of 42 percent of the R&B & Hip Hop singles chart.
2. Drake’s Surprise Release Was The Best First-Week Performance Since Eminem’s MMLP2
Late last year J. Cole shook up the industry with the biggest first-week performance from any hip-hop album in 2014 and the best since Eminem’s last solo release in 2013. Drake just topped the feat easily and has set a benchmark for hip-hop album sales early in 2015.
3. IYRTITL Breaks Spotify’s First-Week Streaming Record
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late nabbed the most Spotify streams ever for an album’s first week of availability after the release was streamed more than 17 million times between the 13th and the 20th.
4. Drake Is The First Hip-Hop Artist To Top Billboard’s Artist 100 Chart
Billboard’s Artist 100 chart compiles figures from an artist’s radio plays, sales data, streaming numbers, and social media footprint to calculate who’s making the biggest impact. Thanks to his latest surprise release, Drake is the first rapper ever to top the list.
5. Drake’s Album Went Gold In Less Than Two Weeks
If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late nearly broke the Gold record milestone in its first week on (digital) shelves, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since 2013. While he didn’t quite crack the required half-a-million sales in that first week, Drake easily surpassed the marker in the album’s second week.
6. Drake’s Whole Album Is On The Billboard Charts
Upon release, 10 of the 17 tracks from IYRTITL immediately found a home on the Hip-Hop and R&B singles chart. Just one week later, the other 7 joined the pack and helped Drake’s entire album chart in single form.

"If You're Reading This It's Too Late" Every Song Off Drake's, Charting On Billboard

DRAKE BREAK'S A RECORD OF 21 SONGS CHARTING THE BILLBOARD PRESENTLY
Over the weekend, on Charts Don't Lie, we saw how basically half of Drake's new project was charting on Billboard's Hot 100. That alone seemed to be quite the feat, but Drake's now taken that a step further with EVERY song off IYRTITL charting on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Billboard reports how in addition to the ten songs that were already charting on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart, seven more have entered, allowing Drizzy to break his own Billboard record. Along with those 17 tracks, he's featured on four other charting songs, making for a total of 21 tracks currently climbing the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The previous record set for most concurrently-charting songs was a total of 14.

Collect Your Result From Cambridge Before Returning To Nigeria - "Clem Aguiyi" To Buhari

Image result for Clem Aguiyi
Move On Nigeria, a civic action group promoting good governance, democracy and the transformation agenda, has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to quit dodging issues and face squarely issues concerning the health and certificate of its presidential candidate and former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).
The group said Buhari’s qualification had always been an issue even within the military circle where his intellectual ability had always had a question mark.
“Buhari’s qualification will remain an issue until he comes clean on the matter. If Buhari will be willing to publicly declare his assets as he said he would, he should also be willing to publicly show his acclaimed certificate.
“So far, every independent inquiry with regards to Buhari’s qualification has returned negative, the onus now is on Buhari to ensure that he collects his original secondary certificate from University of Cambridge in United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria during his London trip in order to put rest to the controversy surrounding his academic qualification. Any cab in London can take him to Cambridge.”
The group which accused the APC of lying and deceiving Nigerians about Buhari’s health and qualification, urged the party’s leadership and Buhari’s new mentor, former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, to prevail on their candidate to collect his result from Cambridge before returning back to the country, insisting that Buhari did not possess secondary school certificate as he claimed in Form CF001 submitted to Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC).
Move on Nigeria, according to it, took the pain to make enquiries from WAEC office in Nigeria and the West Africa Regional Office, Accra, Ghana, where the authorities said with finality they have no information on the candidate.
Speaking through a signed statement which was made available to journalists in Lagos yesterday, the National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Clem Aguiyi, maintained that if Buhari failed to collect his controversial result from the University of Cambridge this time around, and a clean bill of health supporting he is fit to withstand the rigours of office if elected, he should voluntarily withdraw from the the race, urging Buhari to use the opportunity to shame his critics over the controversial school certificate by collecting it from University of Cambridge.
Aguiyi said: “We strongly believe Buhari does not possess school certificate as he claimed and may have risen to the rank of General in the army using the same deception but we want Nigerians to give him the benefit of the doubt by bringing the result from University of Cambridge that claimed to conduct the said examination during his London trip and the result must tally with the earlier Statement of Result released through online medium by the Provincial Secondary School in Katsina State.
“It is high time Buhari cleared the air and lay the controversy surrounding his school certificate to rest before it is too late. Nigerians are graciously waiting to see Buhari’s original result of 1962 and we want to tell Nigerians that the APC candidate was enlisted into the Nigeria Army on the basis of Principal’s recommendation letter not basis of Secondary School Certificate.
“Also, failure of Buhari to bring the result during this trip, it means, his acclaimed integrity is not complete and he should hide his face behind a rock as we know that integrity begins with personal matters before graduating into ultimately public matters,” Aguiyi said.
The group, which expressed deep concern about Buhari’s rumoured ill health, urged the North to wise up saying the North is again being taken for a ride. We insist it is in the best interest of the North to allow President Goodluck Jonathan complete the eight-year tenure for the South-south while the north takes its turn by 2019 when it would provide a sound, healthier and younger Northerner who will be less a divisive character and generally acceptable than Buhari whose antecedent and competence is nothing to cheer.”

Kanye West BLASTS Ex-Girlfriend Amber Rose, Says Tyga Is Smart For “Dating” Kylie Jenner & Reveals Beyonce Has Pictures Of Kim On Her Wall On “The Breakfast Club”

Kanye West was on Power 105's Breakfast Club this morning where he talked about everything from his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Tyga's relationship with Kylie, Kim posing nude for magazines and more. Below are the highlights:
On Tyga dating 17-year-old sister-in-law Kylie Jenner:
"I think he got in early, I think he was smart [laughs]. They are closer in age than a lot of relationships that I know. I knew Tyga was smart.” Then he said, "I can't speak on nobodies relationship."
On his ex-Amber Rose:
“She’s just soaking in the moment. If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose. It's very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that's with Amber Rose. I had to take thirty showers before I got with Kim."
On Kim sending him naked pictures while he was with Amber:
“I wish.”
On his wife Kim Kardashian West posing nude for Paper magazine:
“I think that with my wife, now that she has access to high level photographers, it’s important for her to stand up in all of her glory and all of her power. Her power is in her body, it’s in her nudity. Her power is in her mind, power is in her family, but body is one of her powers. She’s going to always have that body, but she’s going to have mind, family and she’s going to create a legacy. But, she can get naked if she wants to, it’s not illegal to get naked.”
On if he thinks the Kardashian brand has hurt the Kanye West brand:
“No, it helped. It just shows my ability to bridge the gap.”
On having North West front row at his fashion show:
“No one can tell me where to have my child or not.”
On Beyonce & Kim K’s relationship:
“They love each other. They respect each other. When Beyonce is working on her album, she has pictures of Kim on the wall because Kim represents powerful women. Kim plays the ‘7/11’ video. Maybe there’s a LeBron James/Kobe element to it.”
On taking up for Beyonce:
“Beyonce don’t need no help. People look at Beyonce because she’s rich, a beautiful woman and talented and so they figure she has everything, so she don’t need nothing else. But I think she needs the proper accolades because she’s an inspiration.”
On Beck:
“The other day I went to dinner with Taylor Swift and ironically they were playing the Beck album. I was listening and I was like ‘Man, this is kinda good’.” He said he hadn’t heard the Beck album before for his rant after this year’s Grammys.
On why he chose to have Dame Dash present him the BET Honors Award:
“Because he presented me to the world and I wouldn’t have had a record deal if it wasn’t Dame Dash.”
On deciding to ride with Jay Z over Dame:
“It was an extremely visionary move on my part, to roll with Jay Z. I mention Dame in a lot of raps but the story is not done. It made more sense for me career wise to roll with Jay even though Dame had supported me. I wonder, where would we be if I had rolled with Dame. I came to Roc-A-Fella because Jay Z was my idol and it would have been hard for me at that young state to separate from my idol. That was a decision I made, do I say that there was some disloyalty in that? Yea, I’ll own up to that. Is it anything me and Dame can do together now to make money? Yea. We’re [Ye & Dame] going to work on films. Dame is like the original person who understood culture. You definitely have to say Dame is a real n*gga.”
On auto-tune:
“I don’t like auto-tune either, but I need it. I can bend my voice and other things and I like to do that.”
On his YEEZY 750 BOOST sneakers:
“I didn’t want them to be limited actually that’s something that the company did. I really wanted as many people to get them as possible. I don’t want the price to be $350. I don’t want to play this sneaker culture game. I just want people to have what I made.”

Am like woow, After just two months on Twitter, the account of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) has been verified. The confirmation of this process for the account, @ProfOsinabjo, came through at exactly 4pm on Friday afternoon.
Speaking about his experience so far on social media, the Running Mate to General Muhammadu Buhari, admitted that he had followed online conversations passively for a long time but had to get fully involved when he was picked to join the APC Presidential Ticket.
“I consider myself a Digital Immigrant, while all those born in the Computer Age are the Natives,” he said.
“It took a while to get used to it, but I have always known social media to be a very useful tool for engagement, enlightenment and entertainment. Its huge value to Nigeria and the nation we hope to build cannot be overestimated and I’m grateful for how I have been so well received. It has been extremely interesting.”

Obasanjo Is An Embarrassment To The Military – Defense HQ Releases Statement

obj5
The Nigerian military just released a statement on its Facebook page blasting former president and retired General Olusegun Obasanjo over his recent remarks alleging that president Jonathan wants to use the military/Service Chiefs to extend his tenure.
Read the Defense press statement Below:-
The Defence Headquarters has noted the remarks of a former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as reported in the media stating his views on perceived state of the armed forces and the roles being allegedly played by the military in the nation’s political process in recent times.
The leadership and cross section of the military believes that the former President and retired General has every right to be interested in the actions and fate of the military.
Hence, his views like many others will continue to be accorded the well-deserved attention.
It is however noteworthy that most of his utterances lately indicate an attitude of playing to the gallery or indulging in politicization of serious national security or military affairs.
For instance, the comments credited to Chief Obasanjo alleging that the postponement of the General Elections was to enable President Jonathan to use the Service Chiefs to plot a tenure extension is to say the least, very surprising.
It is surprising indeed, considering the fact that the retired General chose to ignore the clarification and emphatic assurances of non-partisanship of the military as declared in a DHQ statement on the position of the Armed Forces in the ongoing political activities.
His motive as usual remains unknown but it is certainly less than noble or well intentioned.
We dare say again that Chief Obasanjo’s assertions are false.
Much as the military desires to respect the old General and his views, it has become necessary to point out that his conduct and unguarded utterances of late has fallen short of the standard of discipline expected of an individual who has had the privilege of service in the military and risen to the status of a General.
The behavior of retired General (Chief) Obasanjo has been so unbecoming and continues to constitute a serious embarrassment to the military before all who have reasonably and rightly adjudged the essence of military background in terms of the high value and standard it tends to contribute to statesmanship.
We feel constrained to remind the old General that the world has moved beyond that parochial and self-adulating reasoning and mindset which he seems stuck to.
Indeed, he needs to be told that by virtue of their better training, exposure, education, assessment and environment, the military personnel of today are already far beyond his level in their appreciation of democracy and it’s indispensability for the stable and prosperous society which Nigerians cherish.
In this instance, the military wishes to inform the retired General, that the institution which he bequeathed to the nation has .
certainly developed beyond how he left it. The Nigerian military is now better placed to strive for the maintenance of the legacies & ethos of service, valour, subordination to constituted authorities, and nonpartisan commitment to duty and fatherland.
It has to be restated that the military as an institution, is neither as inept in the discharge of its duties, nor is it being misused for political ends in the manner the retired General Obasanjo who was also a former President has possibly been made to believe.
Indeed, the system now strongly believes in Democracy as well as its structures and institutions to the extent that It will do nothing whatsoever to undermine or truncate the steady growth and development of the nation’s democracy.
The military will remain professional as it keeps doing its best along with others to ensure adequate security and defence of the nation’s territorial integrity in this auspicious period in the country.
The Defence Headquarters will like to encourage Chief Obasanjo to be genuinely interested in the growth & sustenance of Nigeria’s democratic credentials.
He is also enjoined to endeavor to improve in his understanding of intricate issues and try to encourage the military rather than continue with this tendency to indulge in imputation of ulterior motives to every effort, all for the purpose of discrediting well thought out policies or decisions related to the military’s roles in the polity.
The support of all well-meaning elderly Nigerians remains vital in the onerous duty of working for the stability, defence, and peace of our country under duly constituted authorities in a democratic environment.

Jail Claims By Obasanjo For Jonathan Is Real – Close PDP Source Reveals

Image result for goodluck and buhari
A top member of the ruling party has told punch that, the claims made recently by former president Olusegun Obasanjo that Buhari might jail President Jonathan if he gets into power is real and they all know. Below is howPunch reports it.
The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) may meet before the March 28 presidential elections.
The Punch gathered on Sunday that the meeting which might hold outside the country   was to establish rapport between the two contenders before the election.
A source close to the Presidency said, “We are trying to broker a meeting between the two leaders.
“The way the presidential electioneering is going may create serious divisions among Nigerians. We need to stop this.
“Apart from this, I think there is serious apprehension in the camp of the President that if Buhari wins, he’s going to jail a lot of President Jonathan’s supporters for alleged corruption.
“This is one of the issues that is causing serious tension in the camp of the President and we also need to make sure that in whatever we do, there must be peace in the country.”
It was learnt that the claim by former President Olusegun Obasanjo that   Jonathan was afraid that Buhari could jail him was real after all.
A top member of the ruling PDP, who also spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity said, this fact could not be denied by the party and the Presidency.
He said, “You have listened to the press conference by our campaign office and we didn’t deny that aspect. But we dealt with other issues.
“That statement by former President Obasanjo is real. It is true and we all know that. But we know that very soon, the meeting which we are hearing is being coordinated by some concerned leaders, might address that.”
Obasanjo had on Saturday said, ‘‘I believe the President’s fear is particularly motivated by whom he sees as his likely successor, that is, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. I believe people would have been telling him that Buhari is a hard man; he will fight corruption and he (Jonathan) may end up in jail if not in the grave. I think people would have told him that sort of thing and he is not the only one afraid of Buhari.’’

READ....How Fayose, Bode George, Kashamu All Reacted To Obasanjo’s Statement On Jonathan

Image result for bode georgeImage result for fayoseImage result for KashamuImage result for olusegun obasanjo

Ekiti State Governor, Buruji Kashamu, Chairman, Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the PDP South West and Bode George have all reacted to a statement made on Saturday by former president Olusegun Obasanjo, in which he accused President Goodluck Jonathan of planning to hang on to power by hook or crook or imposing on Nigeria a “Gbagbo treatment”, a reference to the former Ivorian leader who instead of conceding electoral defeat, plunged his country into war. Continue below to see how the men have reacted.
What Ekiti Governor, Fayose said;
“The moment Obasanjo is not the one controlling a house, he will want the house pulled down but this time around, he has failed.”
“Obasanjo has always benefitted from the misfortune of others and he is living with the impression that he is the wisest person in the whole world.
“When Murtala Mohammed was murdered in 1976, Obasanjo was the beneficiary.
“In 1993, he said the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, late Chief MKO Abiola was not the messiah Nigeria needed. Instead of Obasanjo to join the clamour for the actualisation of Abiola’s mandate, Obasanjo was canvassing for an Interim National Government, which he schemed to head.
“MKO Abiola died in detention in 1997 (1998) and Obasanjo became the beneficiary of his (Abiola) death.
“Despite the fact that it was the blood of MKO Abiola that Obasanjo marched on to power, not even a street was named after Abiola throughout Obasanjo’s eight years as president.
“Today, Obasanjo is fighting President Jonathan, the man who has done what he failed to do for Abiola, the Yoruba people and Nigerians as a whole when he was president for eight years, simply because he does not want anyone to equal his record as Nigeria’s longest serving president.
“President Jonathan has made it impossible for Obasanjo to run his presidency for him and for this reason, he is supporting Buhari, hoping that he will be the one to nominate ministers for Buhari if he becomes president.”
What Buruji Kashamu said;
“Let us not be deceived. As well-intentioned as Chief Obasanjo’s homily may seem, it is all lies. It is an open show of his manipulative skills and his well-known egoistic craving for power and relevance.”
“I urge Nigerians to be wise and conduct their independent investigations on claims by politicians,” he said as he called for his arrest and investigation.
And Bode George….
“Baba has served his own term, he has played his roles. I don’t want to conclude that his life would end up like Saul in the Bible.
“I will also want to call on our Obas to talk to Baba that he should remain at that pinnacle of respect because it is becoming too personal. No human being is perfect.”
“If Baba had attended the Council of state meeting in Abuja, he would have understood why the elections were postponed,” he said.
