Carlos Tevez scored the winner for Argentina as Tata Martino’s side secured a place in the Copa America semi-finals with a penalty shootout victory over Colombia.
The tournament favorites dominated much of the contest, but failed to find the breakthrough in normal time – with both Nicolas Otamendi and Lionel Messi coming close to breaking the deadlock for La Albiceleste. But an outstanding performance from David Ospina saw the game taken to penalties.
Both teams were impressive from the spot, until Luis Muriel blasted his effort well over the target. However, Lucas Biglia passed up his chance to send Argentina through, with Marcos Rojo also missing from 12 yards.
But at the third time of asking Argentina secured a final four place, with Tevez converting down the center of the target to claim a 5-4 shootout win and set up a potential semi-final meeting against rivals Brazil.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has lent its support for the ongoing industrial action, embarked upon by the workers of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and ThisDay Newspapers over the non-payment of salaries in the last eight months.
The union, in a press statement issued in Abuja by its National Secretary, Shuaib Usman Leman, said apart from throwing its weight behind the staff of AIT and ThisDay, it will take further action which includes but not limited to the closure of the offices of the media outfits nationwide.
While noting that the NUJ is angered by the fact that the management of ThisDay Newspapers has reneged on its promise to pay at least one month on Tuesday, Usman warned that the NUJ will take all necessary legal steps to uphold the rights of its members in ThisDay, if all the arrears are not cleared by Friday, 26th of June as promised by the management.
The NUJ therefore advised other media houses, such as, Newswatch Times, National Mirror and AIT, who are also owing to immediately pay up or face its wrath, threatening to picket them without any further notice.

Femi Kuti Reacts After Two Band Members Flee During His 2015 USA Tour

Afro-beats maestro, Femi Kuti, finally opens up on the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of two of his band members in the middle of his recently concluded 2015 USA tour.

Speaking exclusively with Nigeria's biggest entertainment and lifestyle magazine; RELOADED, the Africa music legend revealed his disappointment over the misconceptions peddled by his friend, Lekan Babalola justifying the shameful actions of his band members. He said,
"When Lekan Babalola insinuates I am not paying anybody in my band well, or the person is disgruntled for whatever reason and the person abandons me in the middle of a tour, there's no justification for it. That is pure Nigerian evil mentality. We always want to find a reason to do bad things. You want to leave my band, why must you use my visa money?".
Speaking on how long these band members have been with him, Femi furthermore stated,
"Two of them have been with me for nearly 10 years and have been touring with me all over the world from Australia, Europe, France etc. Before you went on tour, you knew how much your money was, why didn't you confront me and dignify your conscience as a man that your money wasn't enough".
In his response to Lekan Babalola, he continued, ..
"First of all, you are my friend. You know me. I have kept my band and been in the business for 3 decades. One thing I say to my musicians is that, if you are singing a political song and you are corrupt, the Europeans will quickly find you. If I was stealing the money I was making in Europe or America and not paying my boys, the white people will quickly find me out. You cannot be where I am and be corrupt".
